Not long ago, Rick Ross asserted that Birdman caused DJ Khaled “agony” and place him “in a gap” on his blistering diss track, “Icons Become Rivals.” During his visit to “The Breakfast Club,” the We the Best head honcho opened up about the matter.

While Khaled declined to talk about the affirmed business issues that Ross referenced, he celebrated Rozay’s endeavors. “Ross is my sibling,” he said. “That is Day 1. That is family. Me and him originated from the base, the mud, to marble floors. At the point when he’s yelling me out on that record, that is the thing that you call a genuine companion, family. [He] cherishes me and I adore him back. Me and him are until the end of time. Music or no music. It’s Khaled and Ross until the end of time. That is my sibling and I value the shoutout.

“When he’s shouting me out,” he continued, “he’s expressing [that] ‘Khaled’s a hard worker. He a good person. He a grateful person. Everybody he’s ever dealt with, he’s always been good, and he’s never complained.’ Ross is saying, ‘Khaled, he don’t complain. He keep it moving.’ Y’all know me as a person. Y’all never heard me coming, talking about people.’”

Regardless of what happened in the past, Khaled says that he’s got no quarrels with Baby or Cash Money. “Birdman, that’s my friend,” he said. “I want to be clear. As far as anybody that has a situation, I pray and hope that people can talk to each other and work things out. Birdman? All that is, is at one point, I just moved on with We the Best. I got nothing but love for Birdman and Slim. They gave me an opportunity. I appreciate every opportunity that’s ever given to me. It doesn’t matter what happens through that opportunity, it’s an opportunity. I’m grateful for that.”

According to Khaled, Birdman and Slim actually helped him most recently by clearing songs for Grateful. “They cleared all my records,” he said. “They don’t have to do these things. I have love for that too. At the same time, I have to respect the legacy of what they’ve done for the culture of hip-hop…I pray and wish that everybody can come together and work things out.”

When pressed about the financial troubles that may or may not have taken place, Khaled maintained his position. “I don’t discuss business, but at the end of the day, me and them are good,” he said. “I got love for everybody. I love Ross. I love Bird. I love Slim. I love everybody. I hope that all that stuff gets fixed some day, if there is a problem.”

Khaled’s star-studded Grateful album, which features Beyoncé, Jay Z, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Nas, Alicia Keys, Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott, Rick Ross, Big Sean, Calvin Harris, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Lil Wayne, among others, is due June 23.
