Cameroon players lived up to the billing – Hugo Broos

Cameroon head coach Hugo Broos believes that they will beat Egypt to clinch the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title.
The Indomitable Lions stunned Ghana 2-0 in a semi-final clash at the Stade de Franceville and they booked their place in Sunday’s final.
Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui opened the scoring in the 72nd minute, before Christian Bassogog sealed Cameroon’s win in stoppage time.
“We had the best strategy in the game and the players implemented it to perfection and in style,” Broos told the media.
“I am really happy with the turn of events because not many people believed in my young team but as we qualify for the final.
“I feel so much relief that the same players I called up have lived up to the billing,” Broos said.
“The boys played a pro active game with a lot of purpose and you could see even after scoring the first goal they were still angry to get more and it worked perfectly.”
Cameroon will now take on Egypt in a highly anticipated final at the Stade de I’Amitie in Libreville on Sunday.
“We now take a rest as we prepare for our final against Egypt on Sunday. I now believe we can go all the way and lift the trophy “he concluded.
